Creality Ender Series
Creality Ender 3 came out to the public as a 3D printer that everyone who is interested in such subject can purchase. The main two reasons are the 3D printer back in the days either expensive or not able to do the job. There were couple other options from Flashforge, Prusa, Anet yet they either needed more time to be assembled or at least double the price. So, if you have ever wandered about the reason that made Creality go viral, the previous reasons are the answer. However, 3D printers are being upgraded and more features are being added to maintain reliability and ease of use. Back in 2018 – 2021 3rd parties companies were making huge amount of profit to provide upgrades to these printers which were thirsty for these upgrades. Today double the speed with wifi control and more accuracy printers are affordable yet Creality sticked to the old method they used to follow with releasing their printers even the new ones, which is releasing a printer and expecting the buyer to look for upgrades from 3rd party to reach a good print quality or to have the printer able to run. From the first printer Creality release until the latest which is K1 all needed to be modified. In the following steps SWbAC engineers will provide the most recent updates for Ender 3 Series, which improves their functionality to make them close to the new released printers by the company. So, if you have an ender there is no need to purchase another ender or another Creality since these upgrades will provide the maximum limit of Ender series for the year of 2023.
Big Tree Tech Micro Probe for Ender 3 Series
There are many bed leveling sensors in the market, but the most reasonable price with the height accuracy is the BTT Micro Probe bed leveling sensor.
Before we start installing it these upgrades are considered to be intermediate level upgrades. If you are a beginner you can follow the ones in this page.
If you have done the beginner level, you can continue with the following upgrades since SWbAC team provided the upgrades for stock Ender 3 and the upgrades in beginner level.
To start, you need the micro probe and dupont pin connecter with a crimper. Start with printing this file before cutting any wires especially if you have only one printer.
First, for ender 3 board 4.2.2 the connection of pins are going to be as following:
- White (Probe) and Black (GND) to Z end stop pin
- Black (GND), Red (5V) and Yellow (Servo) are going to be connected to BLTOUCH port.
The first video clearly shows the method of wiring, crimping, and connecting the micro probe.
After the wiring is done and you have the micro probe connected you can download the bin file and insert it to the printer to directly upload the software, or if you prefer to make any edits you can download the config files.
- Bin Files (This file works for A4988 stepper motor driver)
Second, for SKR MINI E3 V3
