FreeScan UE Pro – Shining3D

Overview 

The Shining 3D Freescan UE Pro is a professional laser handheld 3D scanner. It makes use of the high precision, metrology-grade accuracy, lightweight and ergonomic design of the Freescan UE model and yet improves the ability of fine scanning and global precision control of large-scale workpiece scanning. The device offers a wide range of material adaptations, supports scanning of black and high-reflective surfaces, reduces requirement of scanning spray, and generally provides more efficient scanning process to scan fine and rich details.

The Freescan UE Pro is equipped with a 2M-Class, eye-safe laser technology composed of 26+5+1 blue laser lines operating in three different modes. It is also engineered with an integrated photogrammetric module that increases volumetric accuracy and delivers consistent scanning results by quickly locking the spatial position of the target frame, with no need to apply coded targets. Moreover, the Freescan UE Pro boasts an impressive scanning speed of 1,850,000 points/s, which proves to be time-effective.

The product features a clear interface and user-friendly scanning software, supporting the most relevant design software programs with seamless docking to inspection. All this provides a shorter learning curve, streamlined and more efficient scanning process, including metrology-grade accuracy inspection. The latter gets even easier with an improved capturing of dark and high-reflective surfaces.

Scan accuracy

The Shining 3D Freescan UE Pro is a high-precision, metrology-grade 3D scanning device that features an accuracy of 20 microns and a volumetric accuracy of 0.02 mm + 0.03 mm/m (0.02 mm + 0.015 mm/m in the built-in photogrammetry mode). The UE Pro model boasts a stunning measurement rate of 1,850,000 points per second.

With higher resolution cameras and 5 parallel laser lines, the Freescan UE Pro laser handheld scanner performs rich feature object scanning and accurately restores fine details.

Scanning modes specifics

Due to its multiple scanning modes and 26+5+1 blue laser line configuration, the Freescan UE Pro enables fine scanning in various professional scenarios. Thus, 13 cross laser lines are used to scan large objects quickly and effectively, 5 parallel laser lines to scan fine details, and a single laser line will be great for deep hole and pocket area scanning.

Scan volume

The Freescan UE Pro is able to capture an area of 600 x 560 mm. By moving the scanner over the object, you'll be scanning fairly large parts at a consistent speed and high workflow efficiency. The device features a stand-off distance of 300 mm and a depth of field of up to 680 mm fit for different-sized scanning scenarios.

Scanner controls

The scanner includes integrated control buttons and a USB 3.0 interface. Easy-to-operate and user-friendly, it can process and export scan data to all mainstream 3D inspection and design software programs, such as the Geomagic Control X, Geomagic Design X, and Verisurf Inspect in a single click, increasing the workflow efficiency.
